The Passion Is Gone

The Passion Is Gone

A Poem by Bear
"

memories of a love long gone yet, remembered to this day....

"

You are still within me...

      always a part of me...

           but~~

the passion is gone.

      I love you

would do most anything for you,

           but~~

the passion is gone.

      It bothers me that I

      can't intellectually, philosophically

             communicate with you...

                 there's just to much static

                     on our line...

I'd like to be able to do what you

            want,

but, if it doesn't feel right... what can I do?

I can't wing my feelings if it

          doesn't feel right.

KURRUPTED-(nodding)-" very relative, and very true...been there for 8 years and in a blink of an eye it all crashed down like the world trade center; the most hurting aspect is that "why?" i still dont know, but the whole world knows that the feelings in me are'nt still flaring but they keep burning more and more"

one of the remarkable feature about sallie bear's writings i observed is the very tendency of infusing the reader into its lines....we dont read it we are it, her poems are us, the lines are our life but scripted. awesomely sad.

Been there, done that. It's so hard when a relationship shifts, sometime almost unknowingly, but there is that static, as you call it. This poem hits on the whole loss of love, while still loving someone enough not to want to hurt them. Very beautifully sad poem. I think you show a true mastery of cutting to the chase in your poetry.

Straightforwrd and sincere, there is a depth the underlines the meaning
as defining, and it is fully expressive, this poem flows, and has
sculpting effect, pondering what it is when the spark is gone, artful.
