I'm the girl with the wide smile
But it's only there for a little while

I'm the girl who loves to laugh
But the joy never lasts

I'm the girl with all the "friends"
But they all just pretend

I'm the girl with the perfect life
So why am I scared to roll the dice?

I'm the girl who has it all
So why is it that I always fall?

I'm the girl who had the perfect boyfriend
But that was also just pretend

I'm the girl who has this and that
But yet I'm afraid to get up at bat?

I'm the girl with the amazing family
So why do they always make me feel crappy?

I'm the girl who wants to die
But I'll just sit in my room and cry

I'm the girl everyone thinks they "know"
But I promise it's just a show

This poem is a beautiful poem written directly from the heart. I can feel it in every line. It has a nice flow to it and gradually builds a powerful effect on the reader to the end of the poem. Excellent work

Admitting feelings, especially the more solemn ones, is never easy but I always find they become more clear and easier to handle when I write them down- it's kind of like my way of controlling them... I feel like you've done that in this poem and at the same time have created a really good piece of writing... I think you have a knack for writing from the heart, keep doing it, great job :)
