Friday night/Saturday morning

Friday night/Saturday morning

A Poem by J.P.

Pack up all my s**t

Say goodbye to the dedicated ladies who are still at school on a Friday afternoon

Drive home

Kiss my wife

Take off socks

Aaaahhhhhh….

Grab a hat, flip flops, and yard equipment

Prepare to do battle with crabgrass, plantain, and purslane

Wave at all the cars going by

Some wave back, some don’t

Go grab dinner

Eat

Back outside to soak in the sun

Have a Twisted Tea

It ain’t me

Have a Coors

That’s better

Have another Coors

Take a bath and listen to hockey podcast

Cat sits on the toilet and stares at me

Watch a movie

Crash

Wake up to dog licking my hand that’s hanging off the couch

Let the dogs out

Pee outside with them

Feed ‘em

Feed me with coffee, then another, then another, and eventually I lose count

Watch Magnum P.I.

Wake up my Rose with kisses

Per request, make her a French Vanilla Latte

The Irish Princess and Hillbilly

share a plate of over easy eggs and hash browns

on a beautiful Spring morning

End of a hard week. Back home, it's the start of the chores but only when you are ready. Take it easy. That's it, look after your Rose. Wise move.
