Echoing Chorus of Angels

Echoing Chorus of Angels

A Poem by bigfootprint
"

Each day brings closer, finale of dire duty long begun

"
That fateful time you have always known would come,
Each day brings closer, finale of dire duty long begun.
Alone and friendless it must seem in the small hours,
And faith strained as that cruel wasting ill devours
The very essence of your ward once so eager for life.
Even while mindless lapses cut your heart like a knife,
Your selfless tendings of endless machination,
You like an angel administer without hesitation.
Pray that God soothe their delusions and tangles,
And you will hear an echoing chorus of angels.
