I really hate it when another poet drives me to the dictionary. Yes, I recall those caresses, but I didn't know until tonight they were calescent. Even the damned computer keeps trying to correct me when I type it.

At least that is what I tell myself when I learn a new word. L love playing with words. To me, the bigger the word, the less absurd. It's amazing the vast quantity of words I never used in my career as a newspaper copy editor. I have reduced the number somewhat since starting to write poetry in the late 90's. The only one I couldn't wrangle was the word yclept. There are words that rhyme with it, but I never found application for that one.
