Bon VoyageA Poem by bigfootprintYou had enough and you are right for leaving, But you will be sorely missed when you're gone. You say you don't want any calls or letters. Strong words made that real clear in your tone. You had it rough here with my rude behavior. No doubt you will find peace somewhere out there. You always had a knack for making folks love you, So I'll quit worrying when you climb in your car The children are long gone and comfortable In their new lives by mountain and coast. Their years will bring wisdom as ours did. Then they'll look back and honor our worth. I hope you take the cats and the dog with you. My cooking is not fit for even that crew. I'll be OK if the liquor and beans hold out, And I don't obsess on what you've been up to
