NON-Conformity

NON-Conformity

A Poem by Artisan787
"

Written: 12/10/08 This was written during my high school career and it still fits how I feel today five years later.

"
Stop trying to change me.
It's not going to work.
I'm a non-conformist,
And what you're doing hurts.
I'm never going to be like everyone else,
Following a crowd,
Instead of being myself.
If you're embarrassed,
Then walk away.
Closing the door won't ruin my day.
Stop putting me down
just to build you up.
Instead of judging by the cover,
Why don't you try the inside?
You might find something of worth.
So take off your pride.
You hang with a "crowd"
I hang with friends.
Let's see which one of us
Is happier in the end...
