choice

choice

A Poem by sette
"

philosophy of absurdity

"
 ALBERT CAMUS

Camus believes  in absurdity,

it can be equated with the word CHOICE,

in living we are given the choice,

on how to live our life.

Either we value it or not.

In dying we are given the choice,

to panic or to accept,

We don’t have to rationalize

everything,

Thinking too hard can hurt us.

Camus often reminds me

of times that I have to choose,

the problems are there,

the options are there,

the only thing left is to CHOOSE.

Very true and often lost in the mess of everyday life of work, family, and balance. Well written and I thank you for submitting this piece in.

thanks for giving a wonderful review
yes indeed ... and how sad so many of us never ever ever grow up and accept that responsibility for all our choices .... from the earliest of age onward ... all choices we make on our own... i think Camus rejected the label of existentialist ...reserving his right to admit, accept the absurd and not look further for an "answer" to it as existentialism does ..tho i could be wrong ... foggy memory you know ;}
for myself banging our heads and throwing our bodies up against that granite mountain of a "meaning" eventually leads one to give up, relax and accept ... be at peace ... perhaps our way of "knowing" is not the knowing the mountain knows kind of thing ...wonderful inspiring poem for me..i love this stuff ..the form and order of your verses and lines fits the theme well says i! straight forward language but challenging philosophical thought .. i like it!

thanks friend he is my favorite existentialist aside from Sartre
Good piece with strong conviction. There is a quote of his that I love. "In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer."

we have choices, yes. and sometimes neither one is good, but we still have choices...directions are not mapped out for us...we create the route.

i really like this poem and its philosophy.

smart one.
