Speechless.

Speechless.

A Poem by Megan
"

God's love is so endless and calming and wonderful. The best feeling in the whole world.

"
And I never really pondered your love for me:
boundless, wider than the ever-reaching blue sky
deeper than every vast expanse of ocean and sea,
calming, lulling like a child's lullaby.

Your love is like ten thousand doves
carrying away my pained, burdened, anguished soul.
And with new found freedom, I run into Your warm hug,
as Your arms collapse around me and your embrace makes me Whole.

You whisper in my ears tenderly, like a father to a child,
"Finally, dear one."
And Your words, they tickle my ears for a long while,
While my smile makes music that shines bright like the sun.

And the warmth that cradles me, surrounds me,
it's nothing short of Heavenly bliss.
And the Light so great and powerful shatters who I used to be,
leaving me yearning to forever live in a Love like this.

And as I gaze up into my Daddy's eyes,
see the smile on my Lord's face as I feel His embrace ,
no longer do I want to give in to fleshly desires and lies,
no longer will I fear the trials I will face,
no longer will I let unforgiveness hold me prisoner,
no longer will I tell myself I'm unworthy or let myself feel ugly,
no longer on earthly fallacies will I ponder,
no longer will I let the world tell me
who I am or who I need to be.

And, sitting in my Daddy's lap,
He leaned in to hear me speak these words of truth
and amazing, indescribable serenity:

"And I never really pondered your love for me:
boundless, wider than the ever-reaching blue sky
deeper than every vast expanse of ocean and sea,
calming, lulling like a child's lullaby.

Your love is like ten thousand doves
carrying away my pained, burdened, anguished soul.
And with new found freedom, I run into Your warm hug,
as Your arms collapse around me and your embrace makes me Whole."

This is a very descriptive and soulful poem with a decent rythm so good job on that! However I do have a personal favor for shorter poems and I dont feel the lines are dramatic enough for the length I kind of felt my attention stray a bit ya know?

"Sitting in my Daddy's lap." That line is so comforting! I use it often to try to comfort friends or myself who have lost somebody close. This poem reminds me who i worship everyday! Beautiful!
