Crashing Relief

Crashing Relief

A Poem by Megan

An overwhelming wave of peace

crashes into her ship of troubles,

washing amass

her fret and worry.

catching a wiff

of the salty moist air,

she gazes into the eye of the storm

from her spot on the rocky sea shore.

and in the midst of the thundering nightmare,

the black ominous clouds break way

for a spot of light,

a ray of sunshine eminating through.

the ray of illumination casts on her

a calm, soothing feeling.

One of peace.

as the once violent tidal waves lulled,

she closed her eyes,

enveloped in the passivity

and tranquility she had found.

a smile swept over her face,

as she heard angels singing.

she looked within herself

and found the light.

she was home.

Home at last.
