Lost and Found, Freely Given

Lost and Found, Freely Given

A Poem by Megan
"

Just a cute little romantic poem. enjoy.

"

Ambling swiftly.

searching, searching,

searching.

The surrounding benches, surrounding flowers

in patches of a vast green meadow.

The laughter of children

echoing through my ears,

threatening to penetrate my concentration.

A park.

No, the park.

It was there that she had lost

the valuable membrance of him.

It was there she lost his heart

encapsulating a photo,

an engraving of him,

resembling the engraving

he had imprinted on her heart.

Searching all over

for her love encapsulated in a gold locket,

she was at a loss.

And, exhausted,

defeated,

dejectedly lowered herself to the bench,

and fell asleep.

When she awoke,

a man was sitting next to her

with a gold heart

decorating his palms.

It was him,

the vision of beauty right before her,

offering his heart once more.
