Fear of Intertwined Love

Fear of Intertwined Love

A Poem by Megan
"

the deepest fear is often not a fear of failure, or a fear of discovery, but the fear of success.

"

One look at you

and I'm
afraid to smile,
forced to wonder
if the red passion of my heart
will bleed into my eyes
and reveal my longing for you.

I've always tried to convince myself
the fear is that you'll discover
the desire I have for you
if I let you see my smile,
let you gaze into my eyes
bleeding with feelings for you.

But the truth still resonates deep inside.
It's not fear of you knowing my feelings.
It's fear that you'll see the love I have for you
and love me all the same.
