Do-Si-Do

Do-Si-Do

A Poem by Megan

Folk.
The bow strumming the violin playfully.
Banjos twanging.
Cowboy hats, boots
mingled with  a button down shirt knotted at the waist.
Tip tap, do-si-d0, and away they go
memories dancing in their minds with them.
Walking on a beach together toward the sunset.
Carrying the bride into the house.
Pick-up truck reading "just married".
The twanging of the banjos,
strumming of the violins.
Holding hands.
Old friends.
