A Man Apart

A part of me wants you to change

A part of me wants you to give me a chance

But all I get is for me to break

I am so full of hate

I try to let this all go

But I can’t when I know I am a fading man

 

I try to clear my mind

But you’re all that I see inside

As I wipe away another tear

The memories are so clear

I am a man apart

Clinching my heart

As my eyes go dark

 

Take me some place better

Where the misery does not exist

They say that the end is where we begin

But I am a man apart

With a broken heart

That just won’t mend

 

You will come crawling back

But I might just run away

You will try to clear the ashes

Where you left my heart in flames

Maybe things can change

But you won’t look at me the same

And I’ll carry the aches and pains

But someday you will have to face your own shame

 

I cried a tear for my mother

I cried a tear for my brother

Cause you are the one

That broke our hearts

I don’t stand alone

When I say that I am a man apart

With my still breaking heart

yeah this one is bout' my brother but i got a good job so they will see how much better i'm doing and want to come around that's the middle stanzas kinda relate to which i guess you figured out
