Open Heart Confession

Open Heart Confession

A Poem by Brandon Mathis

This is the way I am

Hold my hand

Maybe I can

Make you understand

A connection of us

An electric of love

Sparks fly out your eyes

My heart skips a beat

Can you save me?

You don’t judge on my looks

You tell me that I look good

Laugh at my jokes

Give me so much hope

You take all my pain that I feel

Letting me know this love is real

Layers of this life as its peeled

Finding each other’s soul mate

More layers peel away

No more will I hide in my faces

Turn on the light of love

We can’t seem to get enough

I found a long time ago

That you will be the one

My soul mate

My wife, my life

You are mine and I am yours

No one will take that away

I will grow old with you
