Trust in a Mrrior

Trust in a Mrrior

A Poem by Brandon Mathis

Trust is a mirror that’s been broke

You can’t fix the shattered pieces

It will always show

Sometimes you have to let go

Of the things that you can’t control

When it comes out?

These words that hold you down

You can’t figure out, how?

Why you’re always stuck in this spider web

Feeling of regret of what was said

With these lies that stick to your head

Another word to replace this world

This truth lies to make you burn

Spider webs hold you down until it hurts

These letters spell out suffering

When they come together

They all begin to sting

Forever you’re lost in this dream

This web of truth is your lies

Spiders of the innocence captured the flies

There’s no one you can trust

No one left to love

They all bite as they all shove

Your skin rises like the words on this page

As these spiders create the pain

I’ll never trust this life again

You all are like spiders in the end

Biting lies into the innocent

This truth cannot be fixed

When it has been shattered and broken

These lies scar you so you never forget
