Misery

Misery

A Poem by Brandon Mathis

Another day of sorrow

as I wait for tomorrow

hoping for the day I don’t get shut out

grief comes with its ups and downs

As I dash into you

you hide your truth

but I can see through it

with all the mystery

becomes all my misery

I can’t get rid of the memories

because I can’t let go

of what I know

so I’ll let it all show

Time will pass by

before I show

my real life

I hide with my lies

and the dark has grown

it’s a maze I have designed

so no one knows

No escape

from this dark space

I can see the mist

here comes the misery
