Grandpa

I wrote this after my grandpa passed away

Losing you came as such a surprise, 
You were doing so well; it's hard to believe you're gone.
God took you so quickly, 
I don't know what to think. 
I feel so ashamed, 
Like I never cared enough for you. 
I never told you how much I loved you, 
Now I wish I had the chance. 
I wish I would have had some warning, 
I would have told you how I feel. 
This is so hard to deal with, 
Not having you here. 
Knowing that I can't get in my car, 
And come see you whenever I want. 
I hope you know I loved you, 
And I will always be your little toot. 
I will miss you grandpa, 
I will do my best to make you proud.
