The Driver's Seat

The Driver's Seat

A Poem by Boris
"

The stress of school has been getting to me lately. Here's my outlet! :)

"
The only place
I'm in control
Is in my driver's seat-

I pick my speed,
I choose my direction-

I can tell others
Where I go
And they all
Understand-

If only life
Were a car-

Maybe I'd
Put my life
In a garage
For a while-

Or...
Trade it in
For one
That's
Shiny and
New-

One with
Brand new
Controls-
That isn't
So
Old-

The only place
I'm in control
Is in my driver's seat-

Oh, if life
Were a car-
I'd walk
Instead.
