Take my Sheath

"
My heart is shattered
a million pieces gone.
It's like leaves
raken' and in the trash.

This sadness is like a balloon
taken from a child.
A heartless torment,
shattered glass.

A love that I thought
would last a long time.
Never something that
was meant to be taken apart.

A dream in my head
that was never quite the same.
Now that he has left.
My heart's gone again.

O happy dagger,
i am your sheath.
Take all of me,
Lock away the key!

I want it to be better,
but it cannot be so.
My knives have be drenched,
and my life is a stone.

How much I long for the dream I once had.
A family of beauty and my prince, armour clad.

You've done a grand job putting your thoughts into such a sad piece. I really like how you brought in the Shakespearean tragedy element into this piece, making it even more heartfelt.

Sending positive thoughts your way,
YF
