Losing Everything

Losing Everything

A Poem by Julia

 broken and nothing more.

shattered as my heart lies on the floor.
i lay my head back down.
silently cry.
careful not to make a sound.

i can see the light trying
to make it’s way in.
into my room,
into my heart.
where it once had been.
sorry, i don’t want you sun.
i don’t want your shimmer.
not after what’s been done.

it’s like it was planned.
a secret mission.
like you knew inside of you.
your guilty ambition.
leading me into your trap.
careful not to slip up.
and when you did.
you still denied the setup.

now i’m laughing at your attempts
to continue what you started.
you said the words i always trusted.
your hidden method.
to raise my hopes.
widen my dreams.
while the disappointments got worse.
ripping me at the seams.

sure as hell i still love you.
irony at it’s highest.
reading over the memories.
all the times you promised.
i’m setting you free by force,
not by choice.
but because what ever i say
won’t change a thing.
you’re ignoring my heart’s voice.
as soon as you decide
to listen.
as i call out to you
and you answer my beckon.
always here,
never far.
call to me.
i won’t hesitate.
this is something
too good to give up.
forever i’ll wait.

dying flames
will again come alive.
once destiny takes place
and our love revives.
i’ll be here to unlock the door
whenever you ring.
and if you never do.
well, i guess you’re okay
with losing the person.
who’d never stop loving you.
never stop believing.
no matter what.
who cares more than anyoneever could.

well, i guess you’re okay.
with losing everything.

I just threw this together. I don't really know if it flows.
