Perfection

Perfection

A Poem by Julia
"

For all those girls trying to be perfect

"

Porcelain face and bright blue eyes
But her glass cheeks grow stained as she cries.
She can’t seem to hide away from all the lies.

She takes a knife and puts in to wrist.
Guiding it along her skin, blood gushes from a slit.
She can’t understand why such hate must exist.

A tear falls and hits the floor.
She runs to the bathroom and shuts the door.
She doesn’t care how much is already gone, she must lose more.

The pressure to have such perfection is to high
The ways of human expectations are based on a lie.
Such tears should not escape from such loving eyes.

Look up, beautiful one, and stand proud.
You are to young to cry so loud.
You are perfect as The Maker has vowed.

If you could just see through my eyes,
You’ll see what beauty the makeup has disguised.
You’ll know that you are at your perfect size.

So look up, little beauty, and put your faith in him.
He’ll be the light when your world grows dim.
He’ll rise you up when you’re too tired to swim.

He knows you, your dreams, and your heart.
He has never left your side from the start.
And even after death, his love for you will not part.

God has molded you to perfection.
So pick yourself up, and ignore the rejection.
Because that porcelain face without the stains, is the perfect complexion.

This was amazing work.. if you are 14 I am simply in awe and astounded.. just pure inspiration felt throughout this.. turning a stained face into a perfect complexion.. seeing beyond the smudged makeup and facade. It's also full of light and a really great self-image.. you should be proud of this as it was truly a masterpiece! Keep writing .. can't wait to see another piece by you really! I rate this really high!

Ouch. Very dark and a little uncomfortable to read. I'm searching your work for something a little lighter! Good work though Julia
