Apologies From A Woman

Apologies From A Woman

A Poem by breakthebrokenone

I am sorry
that I am not the
most beautiful of women
but my soul is made up
of all the people I have met
and I have taken the best parts of myself
and painted them on a canvas to show
so then others can see
the courage I have to
go out everyday and live my life
without fear or worry
and I too will smile
because I am no longer afraid
of the demons that haunted me
because I am the light that cuts through
and makes me them run far away.
