Children Of The Twentieth Century

Children Of The Twentieth Century

A Poem by breakthebrokenone

Children
laughing and hollering
in the spring sun
travelling on electric scooters
with fast food bags in hand
dressed in brand labels
to fit in with their peers
because being a black sheep
could never do.
Children
with smiles
on their radiant faces
with no worries
or stresses
or weights upon their shoulders
because they are young
and deserve the freedom
of living in the Twentieth Century.
