What Friends We Used To Be

What Friends We Used To Be

A Poem by Suzy Q
"

My best friend, she hurt me. I hope none of you have ever had a friend like this, but we can all relate.

"

You're full of yourself; selfish; self centered

That's exactly what you are,

Where does the rest of the world enter?

There is such a thing as a limit bar

A limit of insults, a limit of hate

There's only so much pain I could take

What happened to those times, we were good mates

Time to meet new people, because you're fake

What gives you the idea I'm for use

Of your silly, petty, childish game

Then, when I tell you, you always refuse

Don't think our friendship will soon be the same

Your world's just you, my dearest ex-best friend

You make me your toy, can't wait for the end.

I like the movement and the story. In the end we find out the truth about people. Few people will stay with us forever and we are able to share secrets with. I like the strong ending. A excellent poem.

Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy books and that's kind of the same thing. Always felt I'd find the meaning on paper, don't think I've found myself yet, yet happiness is right where it is.. more..
