I survived

I survived

A Poem by Latifa
"

patience , persistence , never giving up

"
Secretive, crying melody is crawling to my veins
A frantic feeling is wrapping around my heart
Shivered, trembled, lost in wonder
Time packed his hours and flew to the unknown
Baffling air is striding and shrugging his shoulders
Blurring clouds are halting, imprisoning the threads of recognition
Rippling waves are sailing from my shores
The vacant house is wrecked
The dusty pages are burned
The windows of fate are opened
I glanced from the ruins and winked to the wild blue yonder

Yet again another intriguing poem, you have a way with words. Well done.

My pleasure!
Tremendous imagery -- I especially like the lines The vacant house is wrecked /The dusty pages are burned/
The windows of fate are opened
Wonder last line of redemption.

thank you for the read my friend
very well-written indeed. as I understand it, it is about resistance, and awaiting fate to turn up. humans are very baffling species, they want everytninhin a night, they cann't wait, but the pleasure is in waiting, I know it is hard and painful, but only those who wait will feel the beer and skittles. battling life is the only positive motivation which keeps humans alive, if there will be no battles and struggles , life is meaningless, you have to fight to be whta you want to. very good poem, well done.

Beautiful poem. I love the way you personify nature to express emotions and actions. I read recently that when one door closes another one opens, and that the past, while it shapes who we are, cannot, or rather should not keep us banging at its door to reopen since we should be entering the new open door, "the wild blue yonder." Excellent poem!

I enjoyed how you personified Time in this poem.

Time writes momentary names
on the face of frozen frames.
