Death

Death

A Poem by Latifa
"

it's suppose to be my first TANKA, I hope you like it

"

there is no comfort
in sightless soliloquy,
bones pillowed in dirt
with tickling inflicting worms
and bleak silhouttes of woe.

Author's Note

Latifa
I visited my grandpa's grave today and I just had some contemplation on death and how mysterious it is.
How can someone that you knew so well can just leave and perish and we'll all have to face it too.

The existential experience of being "solo" and the absence of emotion, or "no winds to waken". The experience of emotion being the quintessential feeling of aliveness. But you also pointed out the physical part. "Tickling worms to swallow" and the scene of death - as imagined by our fearful minds "pitch black".

Nice imagery.
