Hindsight (Love, Loss, and Regret)

Hindsight (Love, Loss, and Regret)

A Poem by Joe

She;s got that look in her eyes
She's got me hypnotized
And I don't want to look away
And I don't know what to say

So I speak softly the words I want you to hear
And I hold your hand as we fight our fears
I curl my fingers round yours
And I know this is love there are no more

I miss your touch and your laugh
I hate that I see you and I can't walk back
The days were short but the memories were forever
I would love to go back and say never ever
Never ever would I leave your side
You were my heart and that's no lie

I sit in front of you and my heart aches
I won't look behind me because you just might be fake
Don't tell me you don't care because deep down I know you do
Don't tell me life's not fair because the same applies to you

Just take me back...please
