Alter Ego

Alter Ego

A Poem by Joe

Kiss the pavement
It tastes so sweet
The flavor's worth saving
Can you feel the heat

Fist fight done right
Makes for a good ol' rush
You don't seem so bright
I don't have your trust

We fight back and forth
Let chaos go and run it's course
I can't take it anymore
Gotta push you out
Right out the door

Alter ego don't you know
That you won't ever win
Alter ego don''t you know
What you do is a sin

You try to control
I say oh, oh, oh no
I won't be brainwashed
Won't ever do anything you want

We fight back and forth
Let chaos go and run it's course

Alter ego don't try to run
You won't get farther than the sun
And then all your hopes will be lost
Give up now, I call the shots

Alter ego don't you know
That you won't ever win
Alter ego don''t you know
What you do is a sin

I can't take it anymore
Gotta push you out
Right out the door
