The Journey Without

The Journey Without

A Poem by Daniel J. Walker
"

Just one of those writes. Expressing it which I feel leading me. My Home, calling me to things wild!

"
Destiny presents itself daily to me
It is I who chooses to set mind on things lower
And such a Tower to call aloud
My name
In the middle of open spaces
Many are the crowded places
Opportune to wasted recollective
That sets its Mind on me. . .

I gasp
But recline with fear
Such symmetry to once again
Incline a tear
For such Beauty as I have never wished to hear
Hears every word
Fears no mortal wound may transpose
And this
Though beset far from those
Setting place on the Throne
My throne
For I was designed
To dream of a better Home. . .

And I will that Home reign free
For what master may hold me
In my violent expression throughout
Innermost to be
The humblest still shout
And lay with remorse astout
For it is not I who will mope about
The vastly interpreted
Coming to crawl within without
But it is I that dare dream about the Journey
And the Destination. . .

Rather joyous?

No doubt!

Though I can't figure out the message in this poem, it is written rather nicely! :)
