The Truth

The Truth

A Poem by Bri

The truth:
If no one believes it,
Is it still true?
Or is it replaced,
Covered by lies told in lieu?
When it gets to the point
Where no one remembers
How people really are,
Only how they are rendered.
When it gets to the point
When the truth is hazy
But the lies are clear,
You know somethings wrong here.
Injustice done always
By the least like suspect.
Thrown off and mislead
By lies unexpected.

They say the truth will set you free... it wont. It will make you descend into the pool of lies you've been drowning in... Then what?
