Sun

Sun

A Poem by Brittany Carpenter
"

Inspired by the sun and all who ignore her

"
The pink in the clouds is fading quickly
To a shade of blue that we all know
Though not very well.
Patiently awaiting you to notice her
She parades her many wonders across the evening sky.
She is hopeful and mighty
But your eyes lay motionless.
Traffic or happy hour, whatever it may be-
It holds your attention.
But she is dying.
And dying for you to notice her.
So tonight she will rest her colors,
In the hopes to catch your gaze tomorrow.

freedom has been taken for granted. You assembled this idea very well in your colorful poem. What i also like is that i can relate through your words this idea at a personal level of being side-stepped. well done!
