Her Ocean of Blue

Her Ocean of Blue

A Poem by British Brittany

Her eyes looked up to an ocean of blue
It stared back at her
It whispered "I love you"
She swam into its hungry depths
And realized there was no heart left
She tried to swim away
She didn't realize how much power churned everyday
She turned and toppled
She screamed and she struggled
It had its hold on her
Her voice was muffled
She became silent
Her ocean of blue was violent
It once seemed so kind
Was this all in her mind?
Its waves pushed her into rocks
It made he heart become guarded with locks
Out of fear she hid
Because of the memories she couldn't rid
Bruises and scars left on her heart
Just made it seem so smart
It made it smile in pleasure
But it's happiness couldn't measure
So it would kindly whisper "I miss you"
And again she'd fall into the ocean of blue

I might continue on with this one someday but for now I liked its length and its stopping point.
