Like an Ant

Like an Ant

A Poem by Bruce

look at you now
found quite a look alike
that you think will treat you right
am I the crazy one?
Spiders in the night
will keep you warm
nary a thought of you trickles
into the recesses of my mind
stone cold I remain
underneath this handsome visage
it was only a matter of time
before I gamed you
in this cruel tutelage
he likes you for you?
doubtful
when he knows
the cross
he must bear
to keep your
fickle smile
from flickering
