~love illusions and light refraction

~love illusions and light refraction

A Poem by Katherine Wyatt

How I yearned for you and that sweet obsession

to fall in love is to lose all reason to delicious meditation on only

the beloved’s eyes, supple lips, and how they were made by creation

particularly and specifically for only our own indulgence

Adulation gives way to tender infatuation, delicious hallucinations

engaging those dreams and visions of a shared soul

Olde soul speak and mingled breath where with a kiss

two are forever entwined, a wine with no equal  to that enchantment

slowly the masquerade reveals our humanity

vacillation and the loss of cerulean blue morphs to emeralds and brown Earth

Your eyes looking at me, into me, curiously

That now seen….. personality,  your own and not of my creation

I adjusted myself for the fall, but then looked again

such loveliness there, as we co-created the next moonlustrious moment

Perhaps we are not one soul with two heartbeats, yet still spirit

sharing space and time dripping candle wax to seal memories

in parchment made of our own flesh…

time drips by in moments we create into lights

golden and indigo … playing with the sunshine reflecting through our crystal

speak carefully my love for each word is a prayer …

About
I am the song the trees whisper in the wind. I am the strength of the mighty mountains. I am the song of the birds in the morn. I am always being reborn. I am a traveler in and out of space and time... more..
