Lethal Love

And I love you. Everything about you.

All your imperfections:

Your smoking,

Your unreliability,

Your stupid hippie bag,

Your cursing,

Your bangs,

You,

But to me,

They are all perfections.

Because, whether you believe it or not,

You are a perfection of a human being.

 

But why do you stay around? I’m not good.

 

Because

It was our first kiss,

Our only kiss,

That caused my heart skip a beat

For the first time.

Because it skipped into the fields of your loveliness,

Because it fell into the depth of your beautiful soul.

And now because it’s trapped

Forever

Wading in the oceans of your eyes.

Because

In my mind.

Those eyes.

That one kiss,

That one poison of a kiss,

Is what keeps me dreaming every night

And what wakes me every morning.

Because it put me under a spell,

Your spell,

And now I’m afraid to kiss you again;

I know the outcome.

Because don’t you see how long the first one lasted?

I would die.

It’s because without your poison

Is what keeps my heart beating.

 

You would live.

 

Fine, maybe, yes,

I would live,

But my heart is flooded with

More feelings than I’m allowed to have.

Anyone is allowed to have.

And yet,

Just to feel the touch of your lips infect my soul

Once more

Would unchain my trapped heart

But just to be chained to yours.

Don’t you see?

Those lips, for just one kiss, are lethal.

You are lethal.

But I wouldn’t change you for the world.

 

And I love you, too. Everything about you.

be careful with love like this. i was like this with a woman for five years, she was unreliable, a pill popper and in the end a cheater, and would play on the emotions i had for her to make me stay.
reliability is the same thing as trust. and trust is the foundation for any and all relationships. i finally left that woman and hated myself everyday for it until i found someone i can rely one, i can trust, and be with without thinking that it is all a joke.

love is and always will be an uncertain factor in life,. that is why you must hold on to it as much as you can. this was a very sweet write, but it seems like you are becoming dependent on this person, be careful. remember that in the end you have to be with someone that is healthy for you :)

[Coyote Poetry]

I like this poem. True love see above all weaknesses and allow the heart to be content. The flow and the emotion in the words were very good. I enjoyed the complete poem. The last lines made a poem of love perfect. A excellent poem.
