I Said, He Said

I Said, He Said

A Poem by Carlton Carr

I said
'where sorrow ends
I will open a window for you
and hold your hand
as we fall'

He said
'I have jumped a thousand times
but still I am here'

I said
'that is so sad'

And then we laughed
at the absurdity of life and death
until we were crying
in each other's arms

amazing poem. With both sadness and also realizing the humor in life. And not to take it or yourself too serious. beautiful contrast to me.
