I am

I am

A Poem by Carly Shaw

I Am...

I am the rock in the river.

keeping my ground

missing a sliver,

I am waiting to be found.

The touch of the water

would make you shiver

but I am stone,

not even a quiver.

Water rushes over me

pushing me to follow

But I will not break

I am not callow.
