Colors in Movement

Colors in Movement

A Poem by casey robbins

A white lotus attached to a dragon in pink

flutters as it clings to old jagged scales

as they follow a free-floating pyramid of orange

over an ocean of green and purple trees

that sway with the colorless knowledge of the wind

A king perched atop a mountain of black

his yellow throne collapses under pressure

and sends him down a terrible journey

crashing and rumbling off a golden cliff

plummeting, in the colorless knowledge of the wind

What color is the fellow who stands still?

Move, move, you hopeless wretch

seek the truth in the promise of a unity

seek the man and woman dressed in red and blue

paint your face grey and run
