Gone

Gone

A Poem by casey robbins

like a light in a drowning room

I stand without my clothes

naked and lacking air

and while my feet sink in the

pressures I lent for a time

like a light in a drowning shadow

I am confused and uncomfortable

between pressures and absurdity

and while my thoughts feast on the

last thing they were going to say

like a light I get cut off

before I can even complain

about the lack of batteries
