Alone

Left alone in the world,

Who can I turn to but myself?

I walk with nothing to hope for.

And see what I have not seen before.

The hurt and sadness of the world

Where people come and go.

Never allowed to stay forever,

Leaving those who love them.

But I also see the joy of love, birth and families

Simple things that make one happy,

Happening proportionally to misery.
