The Apple core

The Apple core

A Poem by Firebird
"

A jolly ditty about rejection

"
Used up and discarded,
I'm an apple core in the bin,
A dirty rotten plate of food,
A broken violin.

Rejected and dejected,
In the rubbish I am shoved,
A fool to think that I was wanted,
Or that I was loved.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed your poem. The piece is concise and to the point, yet still does an excellent job in delivering a profound message. In addition, I also found your usage of the a-b-c-b rhyme scheme to be quite inspired annd... Oh god, I'm starting to sound like a Language Arts teacher.

(But seriously, keep up the great writing.)
