Back of the Hand

Writing on the back of a hand.

Is it poetic. 

If I write the things I want to say. 

On the back of my hand. 

Trace my Veins with ink. 

Share the words with the world.

Every time I walk by. 

Or should I write it on my palm. 

A secret shared with me.

Hide it behind clenched fists. 

Catch the sunlight with my fingers. 

Warm the words I might never share.

You've come up with a great metaphor here to express how we can chose to share our thoughts with others or keep them to ourselves. You have also expressed it well! I'm sure most that read this will identify with your strong image of the hand. Just by the way, it is a complete mystery to me why so many people have read this and mine is the first review! I have found the same with my writing and after a while you begin to think people don't like it!
