this came upon me while I thought of celebrities' lives -- pressures and dreams to be the best, be number one, sit at the top. though this mindset of mine stretches across more than fame and fortune.

I don't concern myself with being the best

It's not that I can't be (I can, I guess)

But I take no interest, no desire to flaunt

I care only that I do whatever I want 

That I am content and I am free

That's all I ever aspire to be 

A life unbothered, no ranks in mind

Simply existence, and the ticking of time

I'll watch the others battle for the throne

While I stroll around, doing my own
