"Thin As A Wire, You are"

"Thin As A Wire, You are"

A Poem by cbastien
"

Fear is a peculiar thing, isn't it?

"

Thin as a wire, you are

With your sunken cheeks

And hollow eyes

When I hold you

I can feel every bone in your skeleton

Poking firmly against me

Your arms are like twigs

With fingers about as thick as a shoelace

You lurk in the shaded corners of a dark room

Watching diligently

A monster

You feed on my fear

And perhaps

That is why now

As I observe your pallid face

Pencil in hand

You’re so emaciated

You beg for my panic

We both know you’re starving

But that when I wake

You’ll be as fat as Santa Claus

Thanks! I appreciate your input.
Nightmarish description.
