Bar Room Romance

Bar Room Romance

A Poem by Dante
"

This is and approximate retelling of an encounter I had with a beautiful woman at a bar.

"

Looking at the contents of the glass

Thinking of times passed

Comparing it to those that have been amassed

Another boring and uneventful night to be had

So alone in an overcrowded bar

The drink is done along with perception

The door opens and she comes flying in

Gracefully she passes by carried by bat wings

A seductive temptress one could not wait to undress

A blink of an eye later and there was no one else

No one else but her

Basking in the attention she demanded and received

She smiles a sinister smile as she knew he was hers

She would be the one that puts this lying cheater in his grave

She would be the one that puts this deadset rebel in his place

Her eyes peered into the soul and made quick work of any defense put up

Her smile so perfect and pure caused shivers and hair to stand up

Like waves of an ocean each minute in her presence attacked each and every one of his senses

So relentless

So he forgot about his drinks

Forgot about the rest

And only interested in the best he devised a plan

A plan to romance

So began his descent

All it took was a couple of minutes and then there was no turning back
