Weather Report

A Poem by Catherine Donavon

Grey this morning
And cool
With intermittent
Chirping
Becoming insistent
Interrupted by
raucous cawing from the East.

Patches of fog
Slowly
Clearing from my brain
As dreams dissipate
And coffee moves in.

Possibility
Of conscious thought
Later in the morning
With a slight chance of
Accomplishment
Around noon.

Gee
Love this, reads like the shipping forecast that goes out daily in the UK on radio four :))

what a clever play on words...love the double meaning of the allegorical title.
we always hope for that "possibility of conscious thought"
doesn't always come though...maybe after lunch!

"As dreams dissipate and coffee moves in."

The mere mention of coffee, and I'm there! I love how you penned this, Catherine, with the elements of weather progressing throughout the day. I'm really looking forward to reading more of you!
