Jabberwocky

Jabberwocky

A Poem by Joyce Marie

There is only silence here
no sound beating from my heart
And I think I've faced all my fears
I'm left here standing in the dark

It's not so bad
you see
losing everything
but finding me.

I"m giving up this pain
in order to find my way
I'm trying to erase those memories
to make it through today.

How dare you say you love me
when you often made me cry
You once held me down
and screamed you wanted me to die

And you knew
I'd never hurt you that way
It just wasnt inside me
to cause anyone pain.

Your empire in ruins
Your reign come to an end
I'll open my eyes
and see the sun again
