I take responsibility

For my choices and decisions

Good and bad

I decide no longer to be a victim

I am standing tall and strong

Finally deciding to believe I can do it

Life has much to offer

Even if I never succeed at it all

I know I am capable of much

I feel a self worth

I have never felt before

It blossomed overnight

And it makes my insides glow

And and frustration subsiding

Replaced with love and forgiveness

Letting go of what I should from my past

Holding onto the memories that strengthen me

I can breath easier

And life has become something new

And I am ready to take it head on

My way and under my terms

Paying ever so close

To life lessons

And knowing it is never too late
