![]() A Butterfly Summer DayA Poem by An owl on the moon![]() In the meadows of her mind I dwell...![]() ![]() In the meadows of
her mind I dwell And in her heart is
a wishing well... Breathing basil in
whisper’s wind Grayed raindrops
dance golden in... Strong
coffee-scented sapphire sky A thousand painted
butterflies... Small seeds now
gifts of rainbow’s grace Caress the smile on
her sun-blushed face... There are rooms in
her wilding eyes Within shadowed
opaque butterflies... Wings like stained
glass take flight Streaming sunlit
shafts of light... On a penstemon
perfect summer day We’ll dance and sing in flutter play... © 2012 An owl on the moonAuthor's Note
